Polinoe is a new, dynamic and growing company of Greek interests aiming to provide innovative services and solutions for intelligent software systems in the shipping industry section.
The company is based in Leosthenous 34 18535 Piraeus, Greece.
Polinoe’s know-how stems from its highly specialized and long-term experienced executive staff,
as well as from the strategic choice of its shareholders to invest in research and development.
Based on this, Polinoe has developed and offers highly specialized software and integrated
solutions in the maritime sectors of:
● Shipping contract management
● Charter party service
● Marines berth management
At the same time, part of Polinoe’s philosophy is the establishment of new collaborations and the representation of large companies, in order to offer a range of products and solutions to the shipping industry, integrated projects / solutions for any demanding need.

PHILOTIMO
The values of Polinoeare summarized in the Greek word PHILOTIMO.
Etymologically, “philotimo’’ derives from the ancient Greek word “φιλότιμον’’, a synthesis of the words “φιλέω’’ and “τιμή’’. Basically, it means “love of honor’’.
Nevertheless, philotimo has several meanings: intense sense of honor, dignity and duty, sensitiveness, willingness to carry out a command or task, selfishness (motivated by pride),generosity, pride, consistency, self-sacrifice, impartiality, respect, appreciation, eagerness, trust, unity... the satisfaction of being proud of your work! The satisfaction given by the willingness to execute a mandate / duty / project without having something to win.
Philotimo is the feeling of wanting to contribute to your family, your society and your professional activity. It is expressed through acts of generosity and self-sacrifice, without expecting something in return. In other words, philotimo is the joy of giving.
All these examples show how complex and powerful this word is and how many different feelings it can arouse. So, it is no coincidence that no foreign language can adopt the term philotimo. The ancient philosopher Thales of Miletus explained: ‘‘Philotimon to a Greek is like breathing. Without it, a Greek is not a Greek, and he might as well not be alive’’.
These are the values that Polinoe advocatess, these are the values we all adopt, and in alignment with them we contemplate the future.
